10 Greatest Ladder Matches In WWE History

3. Shawn Michaels Vs. Razor Ramon - SummerSlam 1995

Although perhaps less famous than its predecessor at WrestleMania X, this bout is still one of the greatest ladder matches in WWE history - and is actually preferred by many to its more noteworthy older brother.

It was certainly a less-than-perfect affair, as HBK famously botched the ending twice. He was supposed to dive from a nearby ladder, snatching his Intercontinental Championship out of mid-air in sufficiently babyface fashion. Instead, he missed twice and threw a poorly-disguised tantrum in the middle of the ring - although weirdly, this only served the heighten the sense of desperation and fatigue which had been building throughout the match.

This bout was built around the idea of a sadistic Razor taking great pleasure in punishing HBK with the ladder, and fans were treated to Michaels in his pinball-bumping prime. Seek this one out if you've only seen their first ladder clash; it's a more than a worthy sequel.
