10 Greatest Ladder Matches In WWE History

2. The Dudley Boyz Vs. The Hardy Boyz Vs. Edge & Christian - WrestleMania 2000

Only one thought comes to mind when remembering WrestleMania 2000's show-stealing triangle ladder match: absolute destruction. Perhaps the hottest period of tag team wrestling in WWE history was set alight by Edge and Christian, Matt and Jeff, and those damn Dudley Boyz, as all six men set out to utterly destroy one another (and themselves) during the peak of the Attitude Era.

Although the despicable (and hilarious) heels emerged as the winners of the bout, the lasting image of the match was surely Jeff Hardy plunging into a terrifying Swanton Bomb from an incredibly big ladder.

Although the jaw-dropping innovation of this match could never truly be replicated, its chaotic quality was at least matched twice more over the course of the year - once at SummerSlam and once at the following WrestleMania. Unfortunately, due to their status as TLC matches, these follow-ups didn't quite make it onto the list; they're still well worth watching, however. Everyone has a favourite from the trilogy - although the WrestleMania 2000 original has the benefit of surprise.
