'Macho Man' Randy Savage may be more closely remembered for having his ex-wife Elizabeth on the outside, but the truth of the matter is that Liz didn't really do a whole lot in the role besides look pretty.

She was onscreen because she was Savage's wife, and despite the real-life relationship between the two she always came across as a bit wooden, at least to this writer.

It was Savage's pairing with 'Sensational' Sherri that really clicked and, to be honest, hit the ball out of the park. Coming during Savage's run as the 'Macho King', the two were a match (or 'Mach) made in heaven from the start, coming together after Savage dropped the WWF Championship to Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania V.

Sherri is a true wrestling legend, and she played her role as a manager to perfection during their two-year run together. She was truly hated by the crowd and did a great deal to help Savage get even more over as a heel, with her garish make up and manipulative actions.

Sherri was also quick to get involved, and her career as an in-ring competitor led to her taking more than her fair share of memorable bumps and knocks.

She would eventually lose Savage back to Elizabeth at WrestleMania VII, but her legacy was assured thanks to her work with the Macho King.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
