10 Greatest Performers In WrestleMania History
5. Roman Reigns
On one hand, Roman Reigns’ utter dominance of the WrestleMania main event scene doesn’t speak too well to the company’s ability to build new stars other than him. This April’s show will see him headline his sixth in eight years, and in a match we’ve seen before, at that.
On the other hand, it’s hard to say he doesn’t merit his spot. It’s taken a while, but the Roman Reigns project has finally worked. The guy feels like a proper megastar, perfectly at home in the spotlight.
At their best, his matches have been terrific. Last year’s triple threat was an absolute blast, with Reigns picking up a huge win over two all-timers in Edge and Bryan. Better still is his first main event against Brock Lesnar; while that match is best remembered for its explosive ending (on which more later), it must be said that the one on one element of it was hard-hitting excellence, with Reigns taking to the position of The Guy terrifically.
Even when his matches have been less great - vs Triple H or The Undertaker, his achievements continue to stack up. With every year he looks more comfortable at the top of the table.
