7. Elimination Chamber Match (New Year's Revolution 2005)
The inaugural New Year's Revolution PPV saw the return of the Elimination Chamber for the third time. The match would crown a new World Heavyweight Champion, after it had been vacated due to an inconclusive result in a Triple Threat match weeks beforehand. The Chamber was packed with star competitors and a star officiator, Shawn Michaels being made the Special Guest Referee, much to the dismay of 'The Rated R Superstar' Edge.
Animosity was high before the match even started, as Randy went nose-to-nose trash talking with Triple H and reminding Batista to use his head. The Puerto Rican attendees were hot from the get go and the match was, as expected, a bloody and barbarous affair.
Randy as the face played his part well, trying to overcome the 2-on-1 odds against his former Evolution teammates. He was a huge factor in 'The Animal' and 'Cerebral Assassin''s eventual showdown at WrestleMania 21 that year, proving the following night that Triple H had the opportunity to save Batista from elimination but chose not to take it.
