8. Rey Mysterio
There have been few friends in WWE history that were as close as Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero, but that friendship came to an abrupt end at 2006's The Great American Bash pay-per-view when Chavo cost Mysterio the World Heavyweight Championship. This led to the two squaring off the following month at SummerSlam where Chavo managed to secure the victory. That wasn't enough to satisfy The Mexican Warrior, however, as he went on to torment Mysterio over the next several weeks before finally putting him on the shelf for nearly a year with a devastating injury (in the storyline - Mysterio was long overdue major knee surgery). In the weeks leading up to SummerSlam 2007, it was announced that Mysterio would be making his in-ring return against Chavo at the event. Despite the long layoff, the master of the 619 showed no worse for wear in his comeback match, immediately taking the fight to his longtime rival b ultimately emerging victorious. While Chavo and Mysterio would have better matches later on in the feud, it was a competent contest that brought Mysterio back into the fold in a major way.
