WWE have only just scratched the surface of what Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn can do together inside the ring. Back during their ROH days, the pair were known as Kevin Steen and El Generico respectively. They have been linked for years, working on and off as tag-team partners and bitter rivals.

As a duo, they had a definite 'odd couple' quality to them, but Steen and Generico meshed well regardless. In 2007, they faced The Briscoe Brothers at the Man Up show in September. The match was billed as a 'Ladder War', with the ROH Tag-Team Titles hanging high above the ring.

Lasting almost 30 minutes, the bout started hot when The Briscoes hurled a ladder at their opponents from the off. That set the tone for a predictably breathless, stunt-based brawl. Ring Of Honor was set up as a more traditional company, so this is one of the only matches to rely on weapon spots on this list, but that doesn't discount the quality.

In the lead up to the match, it became clear that the rivalry was heated, something that only made the high levels of violence on offer logical.
