At several points in the promotion's history, ROH has been heralded as the best company around. Then, there have been times when it hasn't been considered too trendy, something the group were experiencing before Tony Khan's purchase.

For those who watched regularly, great matches were at least a given, and that was the case at Best In The World 2015.

With Jay Lethal's ROH Television Title and Jay Briscoe's ROH World Title both on the line, this was poised as a winner take all situation. The man leaving victorious would be Lethal, sparking a title reign that is currently still ongoing. For Briscoe, this was one hell of a way to go out as champion.

Crucially, the usual over-the-top nature of false finishes were kept to a minimum. There were still some familiar tropes of ROH main event epics, such as when Briscoe hitting his Jay Driller through the announce table for a near fall, but these moments felt like part of the story rather than odd little spots for the sake of it.

The most recent match on this list, Lethal vs. Briscoe has perhaps never been given the credit it deserves.
