10 Greatest Tag Team Matches In WWE WrestleMania History
9. The Steiners Vs. The Headshrinkers (WrestleMania IX)
The Steiner Brothers in WWE is a real case of "what-if"? At one time in the early '90s, they were probably one of the best in-ring teams in the world. Signing with WWE in 1992 during their prime, they certainly came in with a lot of promise (as this match shows), but because WWE was in such a flux during their brief run, neither Rick nor Scott were able to break past the midcard threshold.
Still, for the time they were there, they were able to put on great, memorable bouts, even during terrible shows like WrestleMania IX. Pitted against the Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu), this was a showcase of four big dudes walloping each other with power moves. It's fitting that this PPV was Jim Ross' first ever for WWE, because this ticked all the boxes for "hoss fight" and "slobberknocker."
Featuring a mess of suplexes, powerslams, military presses, and clotheslines, this is far from the fanciest match you'll ever see, but in an age where WWE can barely seem to give tag teams their time of day, it's refreshing to see two undercard teams duke it out to see who's the toughest without any gold even being on the line.
