10 Greatest Wrestlers From Quebec

7. The Rougeau Brothers (Saint-Sulpice)

"From Montreal to Memphis/ Parlez-vous français?”

For many, those are the words that come to mind whenever you mention the Rougeaus in plural form.

Indeed, the Fabulous Rougeaus (Jacques and Raymond) were a memorable heel duo in the mid-to-late 80's, in that they were a perfect mix of talented and insufferable. They once beat The Hart Foundation for the belts at a Montreal house show, but this was never recognized officially.

Jacques would later go on to become the equally annoying Mountie in 1990, briefly holding the Intercontinental belt in early '92. Later, he formed the commensurately obnoxious Quebecers with Carl Ouellet, capturing the Tag Team Championships multiple times.

Jacques almost had this entry all to himself, but that would have grossly understated the entire family's involvement in the business. Ray was no slouch in the ring, and also went on to be a successful French announcer. Even Uncle Johnny (Jean) was a former wrestler and promoter.

After retiring from the majors, Jacques continued promoting family-friendly wrestling events within Quebec, even stepping into the ring on occasion.
