10 Greatest Wrestling Brawlers Of All Time

7. The Road Warriors

The Undertaker Steve Austin

Every big, bruising tag team in recent memory owes a debt to The Road Warriros, who paved the way for this kind of hard-hitting, no BS offence. Not only did every move look incredibly painful - and if you believe stories from their various opponents, they very much were painful - but they looked effortless.

A lot of brawlers seem exhausted and sluggish after putting their opponents through the wringer, but not Hawk and Animal. They always looked as if they could spent the entire night beating the living hell out of everyone in the arena and walk away unfazed, barely winded.

This bone-crunching duo owned every tag team division they encountered, holding the titles in AWA, NWA, WWE, and even Japan. That's not really surprising to anyone who saw the path of destruction they left behind every time they stepped into the ring, though.

They had the ability to make giants look like toddlers. Demolition, even for all their accomplishments and stellar track record with the WWE, looked downright weak once the Legion of Doom crashed the party.

There may not be a more punishing tag team manoeuvre in the history of the industry than the Doomsday Device. These guys made brawling look more exciting than it ever had before. What a rush, indeed.
