10 Greatest WWE Character Vignettes Ever

8. Dusty Rhodes: You Can't Beat My Meat

If legend is to be believed, Vince McMahon brought Dusty Rhodes to the WWF for the sole purpose of humiliating his longtime business rival. The idea was to take the "common man" aspect of the character that had worked so well and take it to the parodic extreme, showing the American Dream doing a variety of jobs that would make Mike Rowe peace out. Dusty, however, proved impossible to embarrass, throwing his heart and soul into each ridiculous promo.

On this occasion, Dusty wanders shirtless around a butcher shop, speaking in rhyme and making bologna puns. Even reduced to this, Dusty is absolutely compelling. If Vince McMahon thought he could humiliate the Dream by having him dress up like a butcher and gleefully shout masturbation euphemisms at the top of his lungs, well, he clearly didn't know Dusty Rhodes.
