While not the typical horror geek-show that most associate Cell matches with, the main event of the inaugural spin-off pay-per-view was more akin to classic NWA, with conniving heels, virtuous babyfaces (as virtuous as two crotch-gesturing middle-agers can be), and a battle of wits that played to the audience's sense of fairness.

Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase locked Triple H outside the cage at the onset of the match, and then worked over Shawn Michaels for an excessive amount of time, leaving Triple H to desperately figure out a way in. As a rubber match to a feud that had simmered for several months, it was very enjoyable, and it showed the potential of Rhodes and DiBiase, though only one of the two would end up with a high-profile WWE run.
