10 Greatest WWE Royal Rumble Posters

An homage to beloved older designs (more on those later), the 2001 poster featured striking illustrations of some of WWE's top names at the time lining up in preparation for one of the biggest skirmishes of the year.

Though pleasing artistically, critics highlighted the questionable detail in the artwork, particularly in the faces of company figureheads Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock.

Furthermore, there were some odd choices of performers to include in one of the company's most talent rich periods in history.

Fair enough, Rikishi was just about clinging on to the top bracket thanks to his death-defying fall at Armageddon in December, but do Steve Blackman and an unfinished silhouette that looks like Dan Severn really belong on the poster for one of the biggest shows of the year?
