10 Greatest WWE Stables Of The Past 10 Years
3. The Wyatt Family
Their leader descended into self-parody a long time ago, but The Wyatt Family's initial impact can't be denied. A trio of deranged, monstrous cultists brought together by an intoxicatingly charismatic figurehead with an unbreakable god complex, they provided a jolt of energy to WWE's increasingly stale programming, and were unlike anything the fans had seen in years.
The gimmick was incredible, but the Wyatts' appeal stretched way beyond their character work. Although Bray's singles matches varied in quality, the Family had outstanding Trios bouts with The Shield throughout 2014, while Erick Rowan and Luke Harper made a great monster tag team. Wyatt, meanwhile, was derailed by a crippling series of singles loses to John Cena, but their Last Man Standing match at Payback 2014 was outstanding, as was his Royal Rumble clash with Daniel Bryan.
The Cena burial harms The Wyatt Family's standing, as does their two splits in 2014 and 2017. They underwent a compelling rebirth with Randy Orton in 2016, but ultimately fell apart to facilitate Bray's WWE Title feud with 'The Viper,' with Harper and Rowan doing little of note since then. Regardless, their early days were excellent, and they'd likely be remembered as a legendary stable if not for shoddy booking.
