2. The New Day

The New Day's success is a shining example of what happens when WWE actually listen to their audience. Formed in 2014, they were immediately rejected as a corny babyface act, with many fans opting to boo Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods on sight. WWE recognised this, turned them into fully-fledged heels, and The New Day finally found their footing.

Their crowd reactions eventually swung back around, and The New Day became one of WWE's most popular groups. Thus, they were babyfaces again, and they haven't looked back since. Their coronation as Tag Team Champions saw all three defend the belts under the Freebird Rule, and their second run saw them hold the gold from August 2015 to December 2016, shattering Demolitions' seemingly unbreakable record as the longest reigning champions of all time.

The New Day seemed to be running on fumes thereafter, but have been revitalised through their feud with The Usos on SmackDown, which has provided some of WWE's best matches in 2017. Their longevity is unheard of for a modern WWE stable, and while the group's split has been rumoured a number of times throughout their run, The New Day continues to present each member in their most entertaining form.
