Better known as the British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith had a solid career in England well before he made it big in the States. From 1978 to 1984 he was a regular on World of Sport, often competing in a tag team with his cousin , the Dynamite Kid. When he moved to Canada to train with Stu Hart, he ended up marrying Stu's daughter Helen (thus becoming brother-in-law to Bret and Owen and part of the Hart wrestling clan) and finding success in the WWF, one of the few British wrestlers to successfully make this transition in the era.

Fighting alternately as a heel and a face, he was one of the WWF's biggest stars until he left the company in 2000, shortly followed by his untimely death in 2002.
