10 Hidden Gem WWE PG Era Matches You Need To Revisit
6. The Usos & Trent Barreta Vs. Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd (Superstars - 28th Sept 2011)
C-shows like Superstars and Main Event might be considered among the most skippable parts of WWE's weekly schedule, but they often deliver surprisingly excellent matches. Sure, these shows are usually populated by throwaway action, but they have the habit of throwing out the odd must-see bout every now and then, with this trios clash one such example.
There's no complex story to worry about here: it's just six of the company's most under-appreciated wrestlers going all-out to entertain the crowd, and it's more than worth revisiting.
Each wrestler was an outcast at the time. Baretta had been left partner-less following Caylen Croft's release, while The Usos were just getting started as a WWE tag team. On the other side, Gabriel and Slater had been cast into the wilderness following The Corre's dissolution, while Kidd had just turned on DH Smith. They banded together on Superstars, and the results were spectacular.
It was nothing more than pure athleticism, with the two trios moving from one high spot to another fluidly and without hesitation. Perhaps it could've helped all six get over if it had taken place on a bigger stage, but alas, they lit Superstars up regardless.
