10 Hilarious Times WWE Stars Parodied Other Wrestlers
5. Charlie Haas Impersonating JBL
In mid-2008, former World's Greatest Tag Team member Charlie Haas began experimenting with his appearance. By which we mean that he started copying everybody else on the roster. In a gimmick similar to that which Damien Sandow is portraying now, Haas would show up to his impersonation's entrance music, dress in their ring attire, utter their catchphrases, and use their signature moves. Hulk Hogan, John Cena, Bret Hart, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mr Perfect, MVP, The Great Kahli, Carlito...and even Women's Champion Beth Phoenix were all given 'tributes' from Haas, although none went down more poorly with their originator than his portrayal of JBL. John Bradshaw Layfield had spent weeks getting frustrated with Haas' impersonations of other superstars. Every week on Raw, he'd show up to face a new opponent, and always be met by Haas' portrayal of somebody new. Haas' impression of JBL was spot on, from the quip about being a 'Texas Blowhorn that lives in New York City', to the over-insinuation that he was rich. Coupled with the shots taken at JBL's sponsorship from MamaJuana energy drinks, Haas attracted the ire of the former WWE Champion, and the pair frequently fought in the coming weeks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9du8y0J4LWE It might not be a highlight of either men's career, but it was sure was funny, and a pretty good way of using two guys who didn't have much going for them at the time.
