10 Hilarious Times WWE Stars Parodied Other Wrestlers
4. Shawn Michaels Impersonating Hulk Hogan
Where to even start with this one? It's common knowledge that backstage politics played a huge part in Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels' 2005 feud. Michaels proposed a series of matches, with each man winning one each. Hogan, having complete creative control and being a bit of a power junkie, refused all offers of Michaels beating him, and eventually the WWE had to whittle their whole rivalry down to just one match at Summerslam before quickly brushing it under the carpet. What really heated the feud up (and gave way to a mountain of internet rumours about how the pair apparently hated each other's guts) was Michaels' Larry King spoof, where he dressed up as The Hulkster for a mock-chat show interview. Michaels took to feigning back injuries (Hogan has struggled with spinal problems for years), overusing the word 'brother', and even saying, "I've obviously got some serious politicking to do backstage with Vincent Kennedy McMahon", referencing Hogan's creative control. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iF4jE9InYEE It's a feud that would fit right into the modern day, 'Reality Era' storyline style that the WWE is pedaling right now, and to the credit of Shawn Michaels, he made this feud utterly memorable when the Hulkster wasn't willing to do business. The match on the other hand...well, go and watch it if you haven't already!
