In 2009, in the midst of his Legacy gimmick, Orton entered a feud with the happy-go-lucky Kingston who up until this point had displayed no personality other than a big smile and colourful trunks. So they had a few run ins here and there, including Kingston destroying Orton's car. But then suddenly, Kingston was relegated back to the mid card. Why? During their final match together, Kingston apparently botched the finish, which was supposed to include a failed punt kick attempt by Orton. He was evidently seething, not only by his body language but his audible scolding of Kingston also, yelling 'stupid' over and over. As a result, Kingston was bumped from main events and left to pick up the United States championship for the fourteenth time.
