10 Hilariously Awful Career-Killing WWE Gimmicks From The 2000s

10. Vito Wears A Dress

Vito LoGrasso's reputation for annoying his co-workers is legendary. Before making it to WWE in 2005 he managed to alienate his colleagues in ECW and WCW with his bullying prima donna behaviour. You'd think that Vito would have learnt his lesson when he finally made it to the biggest stage but no, he reportedly ruffled even more feathers there even low he was very low down on the totem pole. He had stern words for Bobby Lashley in particular, who was seen as a top prospect by WWE and guaranteed a huge push. Hey, maybe that's why Vito began verbally abusing Lashley backstage. Anyway, WWE management decided to punish Vito for his behaviour. The punishment? He was going to have to wrestle in a dress. Not only that but Vito was also instructed to wear a thong underneath his dress, naturally exposing himself in every single match. He even posed (non-nude) for Playgirl magazine. Vito, who came in as a tough Italian bodyguard and partner for Nunzio, could never recover. The gimmick initially got over but audiences soon grew tired of it and, after a four month winning streak, WWE decided they didn't have anything else for Vito and fired him on May 15th, 2007. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THy52ahwy5Y
