10 Holy Grail WWE Dark Matches You Wish You Could've Seen
8. Leviathan vs Nick Dinsmore - Jakked 19/05/2001
Between 1999 and 2002, WWE ran a syndicated show called Jakked on Saturday nights. It was a place for lower card wrestlers to get some screen time and for developmental talent to stretch their legs before getting called up, which is exactly what happened with this match here.
On the May 19th (don't tell Kane) 2001 edition of the show, a wrestler named Nick Dinsmore squared off against a wrestler named Leviathan in a match prior to the broadcast.
Fans might know Dinsmore as the man who would go on to play Eugene, but he was also a standout in WWE's developmental system, OVW, where he won their top title a staggering ten times.
As for Leviathan, he too was an OVW Champion, but he would go on to find even greater success on the main roster under the name Batista. They didn't know it at the time, but the Jakked crowd were witnessing two men who would go on to make quite an impact on the company, in both good ways and bad. A young fellow name Randy Orton was in the very next match, making this one hell of a night for talent spotters.
