10 Holy Grail WWE Dark Matches You Wish You Could've Seen
7. Jerry Lynn vs Bryan Danielson - Jakked 14/04/2001
Jerry Lynn vs. Bryan Danielson might not be an obvious choice for a dream match, but a bout between these two at their respective peaks would have been something to behold.
The closest WWE ever got to this was prior to the April 14th 2001 edition of Jakked. Lynn had been signed by the company following the dissolution of ECW, but had yet to debut properly on TV. As for Danielson, he was just 20 years old at the time and had been working in a WWE farm promotion called Memphis Championship Wrestling.
This was the first match Danielson contested in WWE under his real name, having previously gone by 'American Dragon'. It would also be his final bout with the company for over a year.
He and Lynn would never cross paths in WWE again, but they would meet a few times in Ring of Honor, including at All-Star Extravaganza IV, where Danielson defeated Mr. JL in a half-hour banger.
The pair are technically working together now, as they're both AEW employees, proving that everything comes full circle in the world of professional wrestling.
