Sean Waltman has heroically kicked out from some of the kicks in the *rse life has given him during his near-30 year career, but he deserved additional plaudits for gutting his way through the time it literally tore him a new one.

Splitting open his anus on the turnbuckle after missing a Bronco Buster during a 2013 match with longstanding foe Jerry Lynn and Minneapolis locals Horace The Psychopath and JB Trask, Waltman miraculously concluded the match despite visibly screaming to the referee that he'd "torn his *sshole" after the unfortunate accident.

A chair being thrust violently into his lower back can't have helped the situation, and an backside-first table bump shortly before the finish presumably extended the added-on agony. Post-match and following a sphincteroplasty, he no-sold its severity with the bravery of the grizzled old professional he's gradually become:

Though this blown spot made his brown eye blue, Waltman has remained a semi-regular performer on the indie circuit outside of WWE's glare despite a six month layoff immediately following the tear. Staring down his fear like the brave babyface he so convincingly portrayed as the 1-2-3 Kid, he's even kept the sore spot as part of his repertoire.
