Indie wrestler Jake Parnell's intense pain was hopefully eased by fleeting fame as a social media sensation and a t-shirt sale or two after images of his genuinely frightening torn mouth during a January 2018 Zero1 USA match with Gary Jay went viral.

A victory for the modern era fanbase as well as hopefully paying a few of his medical bills, Twitter was a supporting and sympathetic safe space for Parnell after his lip-splitting agony was immortalised in photos on the social media platform.

He explained the spot for those that weren't in the relatively small crowd:

His pinned tweet helpfully contains even more context on the gruesome affair, and a link to buy a mystery box that may score audiences an official 'Warhorse' t-shirt. Based on the scale of engagement the incident received, Parnell hopefully won't have completely suffered for his art.
