10 HUGE AEW Double Or Nothing 2021 Predictions You Need To Know

3. Women's World Title: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Britt Baker

Hikaru Shida Britt Baker
AEW

From the most difficult Double Or Nothing match to call, to the easiest.

Britt Baker is leaving with the hardware.

It's time. The good doctor has been ready to lead this division for months, though AEW chose restraint over fast-tracking, putting Baker out of the Women's World Title Eliminator tournament earlier, wrapping her Thunder Rosa feud, and giving Hikaru Shida the sick, jaw-rattling Ryo Mizunami match. The right move, as Rosa is right there as Britt's first major feud as champion, while Hikaru got the gold watch treatment with her full calendar year on top.

Baker to prevail in what could and should be an excellent match with a day-and-night face/heel dynamic, character, and craft. Shida, more than anybody, deserves a massive pop for carrying the division through its darkest hours as champion, excelling where others weren't, and raising standards across the board. The scene is a lot healthier now than when she started her reign and there's little doubt that history will be kind to a run that has yielded great matches with a diverse range of opponents.

Winner: Britt Baker
