10 Huge AEW Double Or Nothing 2023 Predictions You Need To Know

6. Jade Cargill (c) Vs. Taya Valkyrie

Double Or Nothing Jeff Jarrett
AEW

Taya Valkyrie is the best opposition Jade Cargill's had for a while, but is she the best woman to end this inaugural TBS Championship reign?

Not quite.

Valkyrie's decent efforts in AEW so far have effectively sold the title change, but the story has yet again been below par for the longstanding titleholder. It's listless verbal jousts, fake-feeling contractual disputes and long angry stares, and that sort of angle advancement only gets challengers so far. In Valkyrie's case, it's probably not just far enough.

It's a recurring problem with this belt, this division and Jade, but the performer herself shouldn't be punished for the promotion's failings. A demotion of any kind for Cargill right now would be little to do with how she's performed in the role, and completely down to the creative being half-baked and uninspired. And in the current climate, a title loss at 59-0 would absolutely be a demotion.

Winner - Jade Cargill
