10 HUGE AEW Fight For The Fallen Predictions You Need To Know

What happens when an angry Chris Jericho gets a live mic on PPV?

All Elite Wrestling will hit the airwaves with their third major show of 2019 when Fight for the Fallen hits Jacksonville, Florida this Saturday (13 July), and, like Fyter Fest before it, it's gearing up to be a fun night of action.

While not the most stacked card from a workrate perspective, FFTF still carries more than enough intrigue for an event of this size. Going down in the 5,500-capacity Daily's Place (a venue Tony Khan's father, Shahid, helped design), it's roughy on the same scale as Fyter Fest, but while that show was a gaming convention collaboration, this is a charity night. A big portion of the proceedings is to go to victims of gun violence, with Jacksonville's Victim Assistance Advisory Council the chief beneficiaries. Good on AEW for doing this, and shame on WWE by trying to counter this charitable endeavour with an EVOLVE show.

A lineup highlighted by Kenny Omega vs. CIMA and The Young Bucks vs. Cody and Dustin Rhodes should bring major All Out ramifications, though 31 August is still a long way away. Regardless, let's dive into this vital step on the road to Chicago...

10. Sonny Kiss Vs. Peter Avalon

Booked on the latest episode of Road to Fight for the Fallen, Sonny Kiss vs. 'The Librarian' Peter Avalon goes down on the Buy In pre-show.

Seeing Kiss getting a chance to shine in singles action should be interesting. He was one of dozens of wrestlers thrown into Double Or Nothing's Casino Battle Royal without prior introduction, and, while he was focused briefly towards the end, fans have had few opportunities to get to know him and his character. Fight for the Fallen therefore calls for a highlight spot or two.

Avalon, meanwhile, is currently in the midst of AEW's most controversial angle. This 'Librarian' shtick isn't getting over. Leva Bates' match with Allie on Fyter Fest's Buy In was the most critically maligned thing on the entire card. 'Pretty' Peter's manager bit and Allie's effort were the only high points, and with the fanbase largely rejecting the storyline, it'll be interesting to see if and how AEW change gears with it. For now, the goofy comedy isn't hitting the mark.

Expect Sonny to defy the "shhhhh!" and pick up the win here, perhaps via Bates screwing up.

Winner: Sonny Kiss.
