Chris Jericho and MJF putting their hands on Papa Buck and bloodying him up before his sons’ print on the rear of an AEW production truck woke something up in Matt and Nick Jackson, who were vengeful on the go-home Dynamite.

The Inner Circle’s Press Conference erupted into a brawl when the Bucks arrived. Jericho and MJF, infuriated by Eric Bischoff asking where agitating the Bucks ranked on Jericho’s list of dumb mistakes, effectively got out of there, leaving Santana and Ortiz to go through tables. An explosive fireworks show of an angle following the previous week’s ghastliness, and something new for Santana and Ortiz to stew on. Why should they keep taking Jericho’s bullets for him?

Stylistically, this will be interesting. The Bucks are versatile enough to match most styles and will provide much of the adrenaline and MJF is equally capable as a territorial or Sports Entertainment style heel. Jericho, meanwhile, has seen his athletic edge blunt over the years, but will probably do a Lionsault with a grin on his face, just to show you pesky critics.

Exciting storyline options await regardless of the result. Regardless, this MJF/Jericho union exists to fall apart. A Tag Team Title run may stretch that beyond its natural endpoint.

Winners: The Young Bucks
