When it comes to all-time greats of the modern era, both Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero are rightly heralded as two of the very best to ever lace up a pair of boots. Not just that, but the pair put on some absolutely stunning matches together – most famously at WrestleMania XX.

Despite having some classics against each other, the pair were involved in several heated exchanges in 2004. The final straw for this came during an ’04 episode of SmackDown. The show closed with Angle, Mark Jindrak and Luther Reigns laying a beating on Latino Heat.

Once Eddie got backstage, he immediately went off at Angle for throwing some legit shots at him during the beating. The problem was, it was only Jindrak and Reigns who had actually touched Guerrero.

As Guerrero continued to berate Angle, the Olympian shoved Eddie, then shoved him again. Guerrero attempted to double-leg Kurt before Angle easily got control of the situation and started to choke out Latino Heat.

Luckily, Big Show was on the scene to break things up. Angle and Guerrero would reconcile a week later, with Eddie admitting how stupid he was to try a double-leg take down on an Olympic gold medallist.
