10 Huge Consequences Of John Cena WWE Injury

2. Cena The Full-Time Wrestler Is Over

John Cena as a full-time wrestler is done with this injury. He'll likely be coming back as a part-timer. It was always probably going to be the case that he'd take part-time action once turning forty, and that's how old he'll be in April 2017. Chances are he returns in September, has one big run for WrestleMania 33, then goes part-time after that. He may never do a full twelve months again. He'd talked about the desire not to be full-time in his forties long before this injury, and the shoulder problem will have only reiterated the fact he needs to take an HBK post-2002 schedule. TVs, PPV but reduced house shows. His body is speaking to him, telling him that enough is enough. He'll still have huge amounts to offer WWE on a part-time basis (see what Michaels did from 2002-2008) but it is undoubtedly a hardship for the company to see his long and lucrative full-time run coming to an end.
