10 Huge Consequences Of John Cena WWE Injury

1. Retirement?

The final point to consider here, is what could be the ultimate consequence of John Cena's injury...could he outright retire? It really depends on how the surgery goes. If this is a bad surgery, if the timetable to return is beyond nine months, he may very well think about calling it a day. What's key is that he's less than a year and a half away from hitting forty. He knows his time is up soon and he knows his body has a limit. It's already started to break down. His recovery time is going to be a huge factor in what exactly his future entails. People are already whispering that this could be his career done, and he himself used to hint at an early retirement. He's certainly got enough in the bank and enough options outside of the ring to be able to never wrestle again. But for now, don't count Cena out. He's demonstrated great recovery times in the past, and still has a lot to offer this company. His 2016 may be screwed, but one final hurrah in 2017 is still probable.
