10 Huge Questions Raised By Stephanie McMahon Quitting WWE

5. Are Wrestling Fans Overthinking It?

Don't be offended, but there's a chance all of us wrestling fans (this writer included) are just overthinking absolutely everything. Let's be honest here, the grappling fanbase can be pretty guilty of that, and social media doesn't help. Judging something before knowing all the facts has become an industry norm.

Stephanie McMahon was previously lining up some extended time away from WWE before Vince's sexual misconduct allegations and hasty retirement chucked cold water on those plans. Perhaps, due to her dad's re-arrival, Steph just views this as the right time to take that breather.

No-one can begrudge her it.

There's always a worry that the wrestling community overthinks simple things and tries to rationalise them by turning everything into a storyline worthy of SmackDown. This could genuinely be Stephanie clawing back lost time away to spend with her family. There'd be nothing wrong with that, even if the timing has everybody on edge.
