10 Huge Signings WWE Must Make In 2018

5. Eddie Edwards

Former Impact Wrestling Champion Eddie Edwards is one of a number of wrestlers expected to leave the promotion when his contract expires in 2018, and while his name hasn't been linked with WWE as heavily as some of his peers, Vince McMahon would be insane to pass him up.

Once considered the weak link in his tag team with Davey Richards, Edwards has surpassed his former partner in every conceivable way. He's a versatile in-ring technician who's capable of having a good match with any kind of opponent, plays a tremendous underdog, and has enough charisma to at least get by in the world's biggest promotion, though his mic skills aren't quite strong enough for anything above the upper-midcard.

Regardless, there are a number of potential roles for him in WWE. He's a elite-level tag worker, and would fit into Raw, SmackDown, or NXT's division nicely. His skill makes him a great fit for developmental, but WWE could just as easily throw him onto an Intercontinental or United States Title hunt on the main roster.

This adaptability is Edwards' greatest strength, and will serve him well wherever he lands after Impact.
