10 Huge Signings WWE Must Make In 2019
2. Batista
SmackDown 1000’s Evolution reunion bred waves of excitement for a potential WrestleMania 35 match between Triple H and Batista. Sadly, 'The Game’s' stupid injury means that may now be off the table, but WWE would still be wise to utilise The Animal while he still has the will to fight. He clearly wants to give it one last shot, so let’s make it happen.
What's frustrating about a potential Batista comeback is that it should have happened already. Having expressed an interest in competing at 'Mania 34, 'The Animal' claimed WWE simply stopped taking his calls leaving him in limbo. This must have changed prior to SmackDown 1000, but it's a shame the company weren't able to bring him back into the fold.
Given that he’s 49 years old, hasn’t wrestled since 2014, and has a pretty tidy movie career going, Batista isn’t going to sign full-time. He could, however, be used in a major programme leading towards 'The Showcase Of The Immortals', and fellow former Evolution buddy Randy Orton would make great sense as an opponent, given their past relationship and 'The Viper's' safety-first style.
