10 Huge Signings WWE Must Make In 2021

1. CM Punk

You knew he was going to be in here.

CM Punk will never not be included on these sorts of lists until he does return to WWE. Even if he were to return to pro wrestling via an AEW appearance, fans would never stop clamouring for his WWE return. He'll always have a career in selling thumbnails, at least.

The first step was taken when Punk debuted on WWE Backstage as an analyst in November 2019. While this saw him technically under contract to FOX rather than WWE, it was still a WWE-associated show, and therefore, not all bridges between Punk and professional wrestling have been burned.

Regarding an in-ring return, however, that remains to be seen. 'The Voice of the Voiceless' has kept true to his 2014 retirement by refraining himself from lacing up his boots once more.

It has to happen, though, right?

CM Punk officially returning to pro wrestling in an in-ring role would arguably be the biggest wrestling story since the Montreal Screwjob. Vinnie Mac has never exactly been one to mend past mistakes easily, but this is one instance where he'll need to take the moral high ground, and accept that Punk's name will forever be aligned with the WWE brand.

One more Go To Sleep isn't too much to ask for, surely.
