10 Huge Signings WWE Must Make In 2021

8. Rob Van Dam

This entry is a basic one, really. Rob Van Dam is set to be featured on the WWE Network's new 2021 series, Icons. Therefore, a WWE return would only make sense to coincide with this, and, unless he pulls a Terry Funk, could work out as his retirement tour.

'The Whole F'N Show' departed Impact Wrestling this past September following a dismal rivalry vs. Sami Callihan. A run in somewhere like AEW doesn't feel right for RVD. While he can still go in the ring when he feels like putting the effort in, the longest-reigning ECW World Television Champion simply needs to return to Vince's ranks sooner rather than later.

It's unlikely he'd put in the best work of his career here, but there's still something to be made of another Van Dam stint in WWE. As long as he's in there with the right pair of hands, there's a good chance of at least one more instant classic bout from 'Mr. Monday Night'. Is there anyone who would really be saying no to a WWE return from the extreme icon?

The excitement surrounding his 2013 return was paramount. Between the Impact release and Icons involvement, it all seems to be falling into place for RVD and WWE.

Can be found raving about the latest IMPACT Wrestling signing, the Saints Row franchise, and King Shark in The Suicide Squad.
