10 Huge Signings WWE Must Make In 2022
5. Rok-C
As was reported on 19 December, Rok-C - then the ROH Women's World Champion - attended WWE's latest round of tryouts. Just weeks later, she's now dropped the aforementioned championship to Deonna Purrazzo, doing so at the latest IMPACT Wrestling television tapings.
A coincidence, perhaps, but it shouldn't be. Rok-C should be WWE bound now.
The median age for a main roster female WWE Superstar, provided there isn't another round of releases between the writing and publication of this piece, is 33-years-old. The oldest, Tamina, turned 44-years-old on Monday, while the youngest, Rhea Ripley, is almost half of that; she's just 25-years-old. Rok-C, meanwhile, is five years Rhea's junior at 20-years-old. She would literally be a fresh face for either Raw or SmackDown's roster, provided she (unlikely) skips NXT 2.0.
Though not the finished article quite yet, Rok-C is a superstar in the making. The aforementioned clash with Deonna from Sunday's IMPACT TV tapings (reportedly airing on the Anthem-helmed promotion's 13 January broadcast) has received positive reviews from those in attendance, and will act almost as a display of what ROH fans have learned over the past year.
She could be a long-term project for WWE, provided they want to put in the effort.
