10 Huge Wrestling Matches That Happened WAY Too Late
6. Goldberg Vs. The Undertaker (Super Showdown 2019)
If you think this one was painful to watch, just imagine how painful it must have been if you were involved in the actual match-up.
Goldberg and The Undertaker will go down in history as two of the biggest stars ever to be churned out of WCW and WWE, respectively.
At the top of their games, the pair could produce iconic moments on a week-to-week basis and both had near inhuman auras surrounding them. Had they met at the start of the millennium, 'Da Man' and 'The Phenom' could have produced a match that would have been etched into wrestling history for all the right reasons.
Unfortunately, what we got in 2019 will undoubtedly go down in history... but for all the wrong reasons.
Squaring off at Super Showdown in Saudi Arabia, the two 50-something dinosaurs seemed hell bent on trying to seriously paralyse the legend standing opposite them. What once would have been an epic showdown, between two of the most formidable stars of their era, was soon relegated to the rank of dangerous parody before the entire WWE Universe's eyes.
Saudi money may forge dream matches, but it also tarnishes fantasies decades in the making.
