Matt Riddle and Seth "Freakin" Rollins have been given the stage to have the match of the night on one of the most historic shows in company history.

Perhaps irrelevant to Riddle, the magnitude of that won't be lost on Rollins. A WWE lifer for as long as such a thing has been A Thing, the 'Visionary Of Drip' hasn't been shy about buying all the way in to what it means to be a legacy star within WWE. Fortunately, the latest manifestation of that is a string of excellent in-ring offerings.

A trilogy with Cody Rhodes was Vince McMahon's last creative success story but was carried entirely by the quality of the wrestling far more than anything invested in the story along the way. Riddle, meanwhile was involved in one of the only other good stories alongside Randy Orton. The timing of this, subsequently, couldn't have been better.

A super-heated angle on the go-home show concluded what has been a month of walk-and-brawls and seething anger. It exploding at Clash At The Castle will make for a big moment, but not a conclusion to the feud.

Winner - Seth "Freakin" Rollins
