10 HUGE WWE Money In The Bank 2021 Predictions You Need To Know

1. Setting Up SummerSlam

WWE drew the biggest pay-per-view buyrate in their history by promoting the biggest match they had a year in advance.

The Rock and John Cena's first WrestleMania in 2012 match was the middle part of a three-act play, but the company smartly presented it as a first. The one-on-one, in reality, was the last thing they'd preserved. Rock had worked a comeback match the prior November, and both men had sparred verbally and physically in 2011 to set the whole thing up in the first place.

The angle was expert in giving audiences enough whilst still knowing exactly what could be charged for. A bumper audience is already assured for SummerSlam, so WWE need to sell the excitement of the product in general rather than the show itself.

If Brock Lesnar appears, who does he challenge? And is Paul Heyman by his side? And what would Roman Reigns think about that? Could it be 'Beast' Vs 'Tribal Chief' as soon August?

We can assume Becky Lynch wants the Women's Championship back, but will she care about a brand? Will she care about a belt? Her final 18 months propelled her into the stratosphere and a maternity absence maintained the aura. Is she still 'The Man' ready for the grind, or could she be bigger than that?

John Cena put Roman Reigns over once in 2017, but nobody bought it. This is an opportunity and a half to sell it again, particularly if Edge fails on the night as predicted.

Last year's SummerSlam leaned on how we'd "never see it coming". This year's should be the joyous, euphoric opposite.
