10 HUGE WWE Royal Rumble 2022 Predictions You Need To Know

8. Roman Reigns (c) Vs. Seth "Freakin" Rollins

Roman Reigns will win this match, and WWE haven't really done a good enough job of making anybody really think otherwise.

When 'The Tribal Chief' retained at last year's WrestleMania and moved into a mini-series with Cesaro, Rollins was ever-so-slightly present in the story as result of the loss he'd suffered against the 'King Of Swing' at the very same show. This was unusually competent from WWE - not only had they made the results of the biggest show of the year actually matter, but they'd done so in a way that planted an extremely significant seed for something else down the line. Seth and Roman's brief glances towards each other showed the world a future Shield story, and if there's perhaps one thing fans still deeply care about it, it's anything related to the 'Hounds Of Justice'.

Flash forward seven months later and the company have gone about things in a rather more pedestrian fashion. The Usos, as per an idiotic disqualification loss to Rollins and new best friend Kevin Owens can't interfere in this, but that likely just means Reigns will win in the same p*ss boring fashion he did at Survivor Series against Big E.

Both flailing and drab, this has been a substantial letdown all told. Though the result feels nailed on, perhaps a strong showing from both on the night will elevate the weak material into something memorable. But the result does feel really nailed on.

Winner - Roman Reigns
