10 HUGE WWE Stomping Grounds Predictions You Need To Know

6. Kofi Kingston (c) Vs. Dolph Ziggler

Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler were punchlines to a joke as tired as their pairing in the early 2010s - few performers seemed to share the stage with one another as much without any of the matches finding any meaning. Almost a decade later, the the WWE Championship being the desired object that divides them should remove the old stigma, but the opposite tragically occurs.

Kingston, by virtue of finding himself troubled by the 'Show Off', is now a C+ Player in an era where a B+ one would actually do just fine. D is for Dolph, the level Ziggler's been at since his one proper push unfairly crumbled under the weight of his concussion issues.

"It should have been me", he shouts, with about half the conviction of his colleagues' guffaws at his stand-up shows, clearly checked out but at least in the position to cash part-time cheques. As a three-week programme for Super ShowDown, this was oddly satisfying. As something now into its second pay-per-view during a time of "no" (some) rematches, it already feels like an insult to everything KofiMania intended to do away with.

The cage they'll fight in at Stomping Ground is the feud in a microcosm. Kofi needs to escape it f*cking quicksharp to still feel like a winner.

Winner - Kofi Kingston
