10 HUGE WWE Stomping Grounds Predictions You Need To Know

3. Bayley (c) Vs. Alexa Bliss

Remember when the women went on last on a pay-per-view and it wasn't spoken of in terms of history, public relations and celebratory ceremony?

Of course you f*cking don't, because WWE insist on making it the biggest possible deal in a move that actually undercuts the sentiment and, more importantly, the possibility that they might actually deserve the honour. In Bayley and Alexa Bliss' SmackDown Women's Title Match, the company have another candidate that won't get the spot it deserves.

The contest is one supported as much by current on-screen fire as it is audience head canon. Alexa's manipulation of Nikki Cross has been a well-scripted and acted subplot to an edgy rivalry with 'The Hugger' that clings to their past on the main roster and developmental brand. Both are believable exactly as they are, and Bayley's booking since Money In The Bank has been encouraging in the extreme that more's still to follow.

Her initial run with Raw's strap in 2017 was murdered for the benefit of Bliss' upward trajectory back then. Lightning thankfully doesn't seem to be striking twice here, with both having as much on offer after this clash as they do within it.

Winner - Bayley
