SummerSlam will not be the location of the definitive Asuka/Sasha Banks classic, not least because Asuka herself will be spent from 20 hard minutes with Bayley.

The SmackDown Champion's obnoxious attitude towards the fighting the challenger first was entirely as result of having Banks in her corner. That she'll fail to return the favour for 'The Boss' will only drive the wedge further between the two, with the last month's title action used as the great distraction from their inevitable decline.

A knackered Asuka will probably "steal one", to use WWE's insufferable verbiage. Banks, only marginally weathered from helping Bayley, will have to be the victim of some Sports Entertainment silliness to be believably beaten, but it is at least in service of the longer term story they've just about held on to. With Raw's singles division rectified, Banks and Bayley can be riddled with mistrust ahead of their Tag Title defence seven days later.
