Asuka's long-awaited WWE main roster debut ended up coming at just the wrong time.

There was nothing inherently wrong with her back-to-back victories over Emma despite the panicked cries of many that felt she'd been somehow exposed by showing flashes of weakness against the Aussie star. The bigger issue emerged as the entire company found itself enslaved by a pithy war for brand supremacy.

Too important not to be featured on the Survivor Series but ill-placed as a roster filler on Team Raw, 'The Empress Of Tomorrow's position amongst the Monday club should leave this result in no doubt. The Red Brand gang have to win...because she does.

It will go without saying until WWE give reason not to say it, but Asuka must be protected at all costs. By no means an overnight sensation on NXT, she grew into her undefeated streak just as Bill Goldberg, Brock Lesnar and Ryback did during their own major runs. Her first pinfall/submission defeat under the company umbrella can't be tossed away in a Survivor Series match, but a count-out or disqualification shouldn't be abused as a second option.
