Many people behind-the-scenes in the WWF believed Jimmy Snuka was a murderer, including higher up members of management, they just didn’t seem to care.

In 1983, Snuka was travelling with his girlfriend Nancy Argentino, when (according to his version of the story she said she had to go to the bathroom while they were travelling to a show. He stopped, she relieved herself, and then on the way back to the car she slipped and hit her head on a rock. Later that night when he returned from the show to their motel room, he found her unconscious. She passed away a few hours later.

According to the more plausible theory, Snuka pushed her against a wall, she lost consciousness, and never woke up. Snuka could never keep his story straight. Even years after the incident it continued to change. The autopsy was damning in that it said her death was caused by repeatedly being hit with a blunt object. So basically...not one slip. Somehow, this wasn't enough to arrest him.

After the incident, Vince McMahon helped meet with police investigators along with Snuka. Despite knowing how shady this all looked, he kept him on the payroll, and brought him back multiple times throughout the years.

In Sept. of 2015, Snuka was finally arrested, though later deemed mentally unfit to stand trial. He will be re-evaluated in early 2017. WWE, of course, quickly distanced themselves from the former Superstar, but only after it became a national news story.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
