10 Hyped Wrestling Rematches That Sucked

7. Steve Austin Vs. The Undertaker

Why It Sucked: Steve Austin and The Undertaker have never had great chemistry.

Their original "epic" at SummerSlam 1998 was stymied by the fact both were babyfaces, but that masks the reality: 'Taker and Austin just failed to click. Their main event was average at best, and it was weird to watch two of the best ever struggle their way through a brawl in front of an MSG crowd that expected more.

The pair's rematch at Over The Edge '99 gets a sympathetic pass here; Austin and 'Taker were dealing with the shock of Owen Hart's fall by the time they rolled out for the headliner on that night, so it'd be unfair to criticise. Fully Loaded '99 though? Yeah, that's fair game.

Another wonky effort wasn't saved by the 'First Blood' stip or heavy Vince McMahon involvement. This was yet another stinker from two legends that really should've produced better. It's strange that some combos just don't work the way they should.
