Jim Crockett Promotions was on top of the wrestling world at one time. The North Carolina based company was part of the prestigious NWA and showcased talents like Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, The Road Warriors and The Rock & Roll Express, among many others. The WWF at that time could not touch JCP in terms of talent; the NWA had the best workers and the best storylines in the industry and were packing houses all over the world. Vince McMahon was doing all he could to keep up and some believed that the circus atmosphere he presented would never overcome the realistic presentation of the NWA.
